Solder, seal and insulate in one step
- Waterproof sealGlue rings at both ends lock out water and dirt.
- No iron or crimperA heat gun does the whole job.
- Colour-coded sizesFour sizes cover wire from 0.25 to 6 mm².
Order before 1pm and it ships the same day from the Gold Coast by Australia Post Express. Family run, trading online since 2009.
The problem it solves
Most wiring faults start at a bad joint. Crimps work loose with vibration and corrode once water gets in. Electrical tape peels off in the heat. Soldering properly means an iron, solder, heat shrink and a power point, which you rarely have under a dash or on a boat ramp.
A Solderstick does all three jobs at once. The solder ring melts and joins the wires, the sleeve shrinks tight to insulate them, and the glue rings seal both ends. You get a soldered, sealed joint with just a heat gun.

Who it's for
Which size do I need?
Match the connector colour to your wire size. The size is usually printed on the wire's insulation.
White40 in this kit
0.25 to 0.34 mm² · AWG 26 to 24
Sensor, signal and electronics wire
Red100 in this kit
0.5 to 1.0 mm² · AWG 22 to 18
Most car, trailer and LED lighting wire
Blue90 in this kit
1.5 to 2.5 mm² · AWG 16 to 14
Accessories, horns, fridges, pumps
Yellow20 in this kit
4.0 to 6.0 mm² · AWG 12 to 10
Heavier feeds, chargers, high-draw gear
Not sure? Red and blue cover most automotive jobs, which is why the kit holds the most of those.
What's in the box: 250 connectors in a storage box: 40 white, 100 red, 90 blue and 20 yellow.
How to use it
- Slide onSlide the connector onto one of the wires.
- TwistStrip both wire ends, then twist or intermix them together.
- CoverSlide the connector back over the joint so the solder ring sits in the middle.
- HeatHeat the solder ring first until it flows, then each end until the sleeve shrinks and seals.
Questions before you buy
Do I need a soldering iron?
No. The solder is already inside the connector. A heat gun melts it and shrinks the sleeve in one go.
Can I use a torch instead of a heat gun?
A small butane torch works. Keep the flame moving so the sleeve doesn't scorch before the solder melts. A heat gun is the easiest option.
What heat gun do I need?
Any hot air gun works, including cheap hardware store ones. Small battery heat guns are handy for working in the car or on the boat.
Is it as strong as a normal solder joint?
Yes. It is a solder joint, with heat shrink and glue sealing over the top. Watch the review videos on this page to see them tested.
Does it work on solid and stranded wire?
Yes, as long as the wire size matches the connector colour.
Can I join two different wire sizes?
Yes, if both fall inside the range for that colour. Pick the colour that suits the larger wire.
Can I reuse a connector?
No. Once the solder has flowed, the joint is permanent. To undo it, cut it out and use a new one.

Anyone working on low voltage wiring: car, ute, 4x4, caravan, boat and truck owners, auto electricians, marine techs, solar installers, farmers and hobbyists.
-
You need a heat gun or a small butane torch.
- Slide the connector onto one of the wires.
- Strip both ends, clean them if they're dull, then twist them together.
- Slide the connector over the joint so the solder ring sits over the twist.
- Heat the solder ring until it melts and flows into the wires, then heat each end until the glue rings seal.
For extra protection, slide a piece of dual wall heat shrink over the finished joint.
-
A heat gun, or a small butane torch. If you use a torch, keep the flame moving so the tubing doesn't scorch before the solder melts.
-
No. You'll get a good joint without it. On old or tarnished wire, a little flux and a quick preheat help the solder flow right through the joint.
-
Yes. Once heated, the glue rings seal both ends and the joint is IP67 rated. For joints that sit in salt spray or get knocked about, add dual wall heat shrink over the top.
-
Light bars and spotlights, trailer plugs, fridges and dual battery setups, bilge pumps and nav lights, reversing cameras, car audio, solar leads, and quick repairs on farm and workshop gear. Any 12 or 24 volt joint that has to stay dry.
